re:Invent 2022 – Costs
In nutshell: The world is asynchronous. A big focus on asynchronous and event-driven architectures. A lot of exciting announcements around serverless and software development.
To make it easier to deepen a knowledge, I have categorised the videos I am interested in according to:
- Innovation
- Infrastructure
- Data and AI
- Security
- Costs
- Use Cases
Today I am sharing the Costs part.
All below comes from a public AWS channel, I only share selected and classified by me, the texts come from AWS youtube channel, links in the description.
- Put your cloud cost on track
Wherever you are on your cloud journey, it’s important to keep your spend under control. Join this session to learn about focus areas for cost optimization and the tools and best practices that many organizations use to optimize their AWS environments. Discover how to use AWS products such as AWS Cost Anomaly Detection and AWS Compute Optimizer to prevent cost overruns and build a long-term, self-sustaining, cost-aware culture.

- 100x faster data app experiences delivered cost-effectively
While internal BI teams may have gotten used to waiting on dashboards to load, data application experiences are often expected to be much faster. The pressure is on for analytics applications to keep up with users’ reduced attention spans, and there’s no respite from data volumes. Companies trying to meet this new standard may face daunting bills from their cloud data warehouse. In this talk, Matan Sarig demonstrates how Firebolt can efficiently deliver sub-second analytics at terabyte scale with the convenience of a modern data warehouse as a service. Learn how Firebolt can offer a faster analytics experience while optimizing costs. This presentation is brought to you by Firebolt, an AWS Partner.
